The site itself runs Pulse. Open your network panel and you will see it working: small beacons to pulse.devalo.com.au, no cookies. In local storage you will find exactly one thing, a random token minted in your own browser so that your visit holds together as one visit rather than fragmenting. It cannot follow you across days: the key it is hashed with changes daily, so yesterday's visit and today's cannot be joined. It holds nothing about you. If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, Pulse sends nothing and stores nothing. How we handle data.

Privacy
The script on your site sends no identifier at all. A visit is counted from a value worked out at our end, using a salt that rotates daily and keyed to your site. So yesterday's visitor cannot be matched to today's, and nobody can be followed to anyone else's website.

What does Pulse cost?
Pulse is included with a care plan rather than billed separately, so it is quoted as part of the plan. Which plan fits depends on what you need to see, so the number comes out of a conversation rather than off a price list.
Where is my data stored?
Our application and its database run in Australia. Some specialist providers we rely on handle data overseas, including payments, email delivery, SMS, bot protection and error reporting. Your site's analytics sit in a store of their own, one per website, rather than pooled in with everyone else's.
Will Pulse slow my site down?
It is one first-party script, loaded with defer so it never holds up the page. Readings go out as small background beacons that block nothing, and the speed measurements are held back until the visitor leaves. It measures that speed on real visits, which is how we would know if it had become the problem.
Does Pulse work on a site you did not build?
Technically, yes. The script is one line in the page, and the uptime, SSL, domain and DNS checks need nothing but your web address. Search visibility needs you to grant us read access to your Google Search Console property.
How is this different from Google Analytics?
It is first party, so the data belongs to your site rather than to an advertising platform. It is cookieless, so it is not setting anything on your visitors that you have to explain to them. And it does not expect you to log in and interpret it.
Do I have to read a dashboard?
No, and that is the point. What Pulse observes is read at our end and comes back to you in plain English, with anything worth doing already flagged. Watching charts is not your job.
