Devalo exists because I spent years watching businesses struggle with the same problem: too many tools that don't talk to each other, none of them built with Australian businesses in mind.
After six years of setting up CRM systems, marketing automation, and sales workflows for businesses — particularly in automotive — I kept hitting the same wall. The tools were either too expensive, too complicated, built for the US market, or they simply didn't integrate with each other.
So I decided to build the platform I wished existed.
The AI-Powered Approach
Devalo is built by a one-person development team using AI as a force multiplier. The entire platform — backend, frontend, database, security, billing, every module — is designed, architected, and shipped by a solo founder leveraging AI-assisted development to move at the speed of a full engineering team.
This isn't a proof of concept. It's a production SaaS platform with industry-standard security, full billing integration, role-based access control, immutable audit logging, and multi-tenant data isolation. The thesis is simple: AI changes what's possible for a single developer. What used to require a team of ten and eighteen months of runway can now be built by one person who understands the problem deeply.
Why "Build In-House"?
Devalo doesn't integrate third-party SaaS products as features. There's no Xero connector, no DocuSign plugin, no MYOB integration. The philosophy is: if it's a core business tool, build it in-house.
Third-party services are only used for infrastructure — payment processing via Stripe, email delivery via Amazon SES, SMS via Twilio. These are pipes, not business logic. Everything else — the CRM, the booking system, the marketing engine, the finance pipeline — is built from scratch, owned by Devalo, and designed to work together.
This means no dependency on another company's API changes, no data leaving the platform unnecessarily, and no feature gaps because a third-party decided to deprecate something.

Most business platforms are built in the US and treat Australian compliance as an afterthought. Devalo is built here, for here. Australian compliance isn't a checkbox — it's in the architecture.
