Devalo exists because the tools Australian businesses rely on weren't built for them. One founder, AI as a force multiplier, and a refusal to ship anything half-built.
The Frustration
After six years working with CRM systems, marketing automation, and sales workflows every single day, particularly in automotive, I kept hitting the same wall. The right tools existed, but none of them worked together. Every business I worked with was duct-taping five or six platforms together and losing data in the gaps.
The Gaps
The tools were either too expensive for small businesses, too complicated for teams without a dedicated IT person, built entirely for the US market with Australian compliance as an afterthought, or they simply didn't integrate with each other without Zapier glue code and prayer.
The Decision
So I decided to build the platform I wished existed. Not a connector that stitches other people's products together. An actual platform where every module is built in-house, shares a unified data layer, and is designed from the ground up for how Australian businesses actually operate.
AI as a Force Multiplier
Devalo is built by a one-person development team using AI as a force multiplier. The entire platform (backend, frontend, database, security, billing, every module) is designed, architected, and shipped by a solo founder leveraging AI-assisted development to move at the speed of a full engineering team.
This isn't a proof of concept. It's a production SaaS platform with industry-standard security, full billing integration, role-based access control, immutable audit logging, and multi-tenant data isolation. The thesis is simple: AI changes what's possible for a single developer. What used to require a team of ten and eighteen months of runway can now be built by one person who understands the problem deeply.
